When
freon was identified as an item that was to be more or
less banned by the first Bush administration, NASA needed
to find a substitute for its many uses, including as a cleaning
fluid for calibration instruments. GB Tech provided scientists
and senior technicians at the company’s
Calibration Laboratory at the NASA-Stennis Space Center
to identify, test and qualify alternative cleaning fluids
that were safe and effective for use in NASA’s
critical cleaning activities.
To support The Boeing Company's commercial rocket facility
at NASA's Stennis Space Center, the GB Tech Gas and Materials
Analysis Laboratory was certified by The Boeing Company
as a supplier for test and analysis of their RS68 Hydraulic
Fluids. Auditors found that appropriate documentation and
processes were acceptable and required only minor modifications
to the already established fluid testing parameters. GB
Tech has received numerous NASA, state, nuclear industry,
ISO and federal certifications.
GB Tech has a distinguished
background in management and operation of government laboratories
including:
- Metrology Services/Calibration Laboratory
- Environmental Laboratory
- Gas and Materials Analysis Laboratory
- Prototype Development Laboratory
